Makeup Remover: Makeup removal is a crucial first step in facial care, especially for those who frequently wear makeup. Oils and pigments from cosmetics, if left on the skin for extended periods, can clog pores and cause skin problems such as acne and pimples. Makeup removers dissolve and remove these makeup residues, keeping pores clear. Common makeup removers include cleansing oils, cleansing milks, and cleansing waters. Cleansing oils are suitable for removing heavy makeup, as their oil components effectively dissolve makeup; cleansing milks are gentle and suitable for dry and sensitive skin; cleansing waters are more refreshing and suitable for oily and combination skin.

Cleanser: Cleansers are used to remove oil, dirt, and dead skin cells from the face. Skin secretes oil daily, and combined with dust and bacteria from the environment, if not cleansed promptly, it can affect the skin's normal metabolism and respiration. There are many types of cleansers, such as soap-based cleansers and amino acid cleansers. Soap-based cleansers have strong cleansing power but may dry out the skin, making them suitable for oily skin. Amino acid cleansers are gentle and non-irritating, suitable for dry and sensitive skin.

Toner: The purpose of toner is to balance the skin's pH level, preparing it for subsequent moisturizing. After cleansing, the skin's pH may change, and toner can quickly adjust the skin to a suitable pH environment. Toner also acts as a second cleanse, further removing residual dirt from the skin's surface. In addition, some toners contain moisturizing and astringent ingredients to replenish skin moisture and shrink pores.

Lotion or Cream: Lotions and creams are key moisturizing steps in facial care. They form a protective barrier on the skin's surface, preventing moisture loss and protecting against environmental irritants. Lotions have a lighter texture, suitable for oily and combination skin in summer; creams have a thicker texture and better moisturizing effect, suitable for dry and normal skin, and for use in the dry winter.
