The first step in proper skincare should be "makeup removal." Makeup itself doesn't necessarily worsen your skin; it's incomplete makeup removal that does!
Makeup removal targets: sebum, oil, sweat, and pollutant particles from the atmosphere, all normally secreted and excreted by the skin.
If makeup remains on the skin for too long, it can lead to absorption and poisoning; the nutrients in cosmetics can become a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi; and makeup residue left on the skin's surface, if not removed promptly, can clog pores and sweat glands, hindering skin respiration and increasing the risk of acne. Research shows that the period from 10 PM to 4 AM is the most active stage of epidermal cell division. Removing makeup during this time allows the skin to rest fully, preventing skin aging.
